wow, what a great way to start and end a day!
in the a.m. as i was leaving i found a bird's nest.
strangely i had never seen a bird's nest before - go figure.
a fragile and beautiful thing. just bits of cotton and grass....

then, at then end of the evening i went to the record store
(of course) and was chatting with another customer and
he suggested the 'antony and the johnsons' record to me.
fyi: this is the cd that all the gay boys are panting over right
now - in fact i think you have to be gay to enjoy it....
so anyway, i told him that i had only heard the song "hope
there's someone", whereupon he squeezed his eyes shut
and exclaimed, "oh it's just like a negro spiritual, isn't it?"


god that was funny.
